George Washington letter of appointment for William Hill, 1790.

Handwritten and signed letter of appointment dated 20 Dec. 1790. Washington appoints William Hill as the United States attorney for North Carolina. The item bears the Great Seal of the United States. The manuscript was originally framed by William Roberts, an artist in Denver, Colorado, on 9 May 1889.
